In a joint press conference Wednesday morning jubilant state officials of Colorado and Washington State confirmed that their successful ballot initiatives to "legalize" recreational marijuana possession/use up to one ounce were in part an attempt to lure PSAS franchises to their states. Just as the ramifications of the legislation are unknown at the federal and international level, so too the active courting of PSAS franchises is a known unknown. Special Adviser to the league Sam Hurd opined, "teams don't stay in one place forever, man." Indeed the past several years have seen a variety of moves as league power brokers like BDT and Phat Girlz have left Brownstone/Barclays Brooklyn for the sunnier climes of Bay Ridge. The Trichs have played a game this year in their proposed new market of Charlotte, North Carolina. "What we're seeing is a gradual evacuation of what was once a very dense cluster of franchises. As recently as 2011, three franchises occupied a single block of Prospect Heights (only one remains now). Currently, half the league still resides in Kings County, a majority that will shift when the Hair Pullers move becomes final. "'s all in the game," Hurd said, "teams gonna go where the action is..."
As of press time one third of LSU's 2013 recruiting class had changed their commitment to either WU or CU, both of which are now expected to have excellent punt return capabilities.
