Week 13 Stock Market & Previewz

Striking the balance between a suitor and a stalker is a fine line, or is it?  Do I, should I, go after a player I want (e.g. Connor Barth) post-elimination?  "But, there's still next year!"  Well, General, you are stalking fantasy football.

I don't know if you agree, but it takes adjustments.  Not sure feasting with family and friends is the solution.  At least, it'll be soothing.  Except that there'll be like eight games of football throughout the day, and then once Black Friday kicks in around 4 pm Thursday, I'm going to get me a PS4/Madden15 bundle and the rest will be history.  Heartache is hard to heal.

Ok, so this is it.  It's the regular-season finale, Week 13.  I haven't really thought about what happens next week or thereafter once post-season starts.  Stock market and casino will probably close doors, although the yakuza may keep hosting, milking, your waiver budgets for whatever purposes they got.  I'll continue to write a little preview piece each week.  Arbiter or I will also do a regular-season award eventually.  Just want to say, it was a pleasure.  I saw a positive graffiti yesterday in JSQ that read "don't be sad it's over, be glad it happened," so that's the note I want to begin this final regular-season edition of weekly stock market previews.  If you are traveling today, safe travels!  Just in a rare case you are moving your apartment on the day before Thanksgiving, be safe also!  Rain has changed to snow outside here in JC as I cut and paste the next 8 lines for the last time this year.

The payout schedule for each 5 bankerbitez bet is as following.

                                      Blue Chip     Market Performer     Junk
Blue Chip (#1-4*)                  5                      3                          2
Market Performer (#5-8*)     10                     5                          3
Junk (#9-12*)                        15                     10                        5

*Based on weekly Power Rankingz.  In case of a tied rank, commissioner's ruling will be published here.

The Guide
It's a strange Week 13 as the separation created a regular-season finale with not as much at stake.  It's unfortunate in a way since five of six matches feature teams that haven't faced each other this year.  No more teams on bye, and there are three NFC games scheduled on Thursday.  Curiously, CT teams have more of the Thursday players, so we'll be entertained from the get-go at least in otherwise relatively calm Thanksgiving week.  But, historically Week 13 never is short of surprises, so we could very well be talking about something crazy at this point next year.

(1) AEthernauts 10-2 (5 bb) vs (3) TakingTigerMountain 8-4 (5 bb)
In this playoff preview game, two participants are projected to meet next, if everything lines up correctly, in the finals.  Meeting for the first time this year and not sure much is at stakes here, but projections are head-to-head and, with no Thursday plays for either teams to speak of, this will be the game to watch for the weekend.  Nauts win won't change much of playoffs picture, but TTM win could put both of these teams in the same bracket, creating a possibly Week 15 rematch.  Nauts have the first-round bye locked.

(2) PhatGirlz 9-3 (2 bb) vs (9) ThePelicanBrief 4-8 (15 bb)
Girlz are trying to secure the final first-round bye with a win over the dissapointed Pelican, but the last of Mohegan won't go down easily as the Grishamites are still within reach of the coveted Moral Victory.  Arguably the best double-titration of 2014 (though CCC will beg to differ) will face the newest D-T in Brady-Wright.  Teams will be fighting separate battles in the same game, points (for Pelican and somewhat for Girlz if they lose) and outcome (Gilrz) will still matter here.

(4) Dijonnaise All-Stars 8-4 (3 bb) vs (6) SanFranciscoFerries 7-5 (10 bb)
Another possible playoffs preview with neck-in-neck projections can become a high-scoring affair kicked off by kicker-defense duel dual on Thursday.  Outcome may or may not change much of post-season picture as both teams are long-shot or out of first-round bye race.

(5) BuildingDW3LL1NGTh1nk1ng 8-4 (3 bb) vs (10) Shock_Pix 4-8 (10 bb)
Could have sworn these two teams have met this year, but yahoola says no so I guess not.  BDT is far out-scored by the Girlz to really have a legit chance for the first-round bye and Shock is far out-scored in the Moral Victory.  So, if it seemed the autopilot indicator was full of *shock* this season so far, you might be in for a disappointment this week.  Well, I mean psych dog don't have to really do shit here this week anyways.  Regardless, this will be a good match.

(7) HomeSpunNeckBloodz 5-7 (3 bb) vs (11) Trichotillomaniacs (10 bb)
Yeah, right.  No team is more lame-duck than the Bloodz right now, as they are out of both playoffs and moral victory while holding onto the dreaded consolation first-round bye but not clinching it.  That means there's like two weeks of meaningless football before more meaningless football.  At the end of that long run, there are some draft budgets for next year.  How *depressing* is that.  At least, the Trichs are still in Moral Victory and they are historically the most motivated team in Consolation history as seen by their dominance there two seasons ago.  Yeah.

(8) The Old Future 4-8 (3 bb) vs (12) Polk High Panthers (10 bb)
The heart of Moral Victory race is right here in the Hot-lanta rematch.  The Week 2 first-round was a sponsored blow-out win by the Timewarp, and the rookies will like a repeat of that feat, or at least a double-digit win, as they are behind Bundys by seven points in Moral Victory.

Week 12 Stock Market & Previewz

Lets hope Charles isn't injured soon

I'll make everything short.  Rankingz came out early and I'm trying to finish work early and beat the G-W Bridge traffic here.  Necessarily adjustments will be made in due time.

Clinched playoffs: AEthernauts, Phat Girlz, TakingTigerMountain, Dijonnaise All-Stars have clinched a spot in the post-season and are vying for the first-round Week 14 bye.

Need one more win or Spinnerz loss to clinch: BuildingDW3LL1NGTh1nk1ng and SanFranciscoFerries virtually have the magic number down to one and could clinch playoffs spot this week.

Outside looking in, gates starting to close: HomeSpunNeckBloodz lacking points and the Old Future with seven losses are on the verge of elimination.

Moral Victory: Polk High Panthers, Trichotillomaniacs and ThePelicanBrief are within 12 pts in the shit-outa-chocolate Moral Victory race.

Grace period over, Autopilot Indicator On: Took them this long, but Shock_Pix are in a familiar territory of out and no pay.

Last of the bye: Carolina and Pittsburgh will be the last teams to have their mid-season vacation.

The payout schedule for each 5 bankerbitez bet is as following.

Dez and DeSean are the Bad Minded Peoples of the Far East
The Guide
(1) AEthernauts 9-2 (3 bb) vs (7) The Old Future 4-7 (10 bb)
Cam on bye, Gordon's 2014 debut for the Nauts.  Late-season pick-up shine eye galz for Future.  Will Nauts escape another upset alert?

(2) PhatGirlz 8-3 (5 bb) vs (3) Dijonnaise All-Stars 8-3 (5 bb)
A significant game for the first-round bye outlook, Dijon face the Girlz in the Ong Bowl as Monique's entourage are struggling to find points as AP's saga and wait continue.

(4) TakingTigerMountain 8-3 (2 bb) vs (12) Shock_Pix 3-8 (15 bb)
A tough auto-pilot test for the Shockers against the hottest team of the league Mountain.  Antonio on bye and backfield woes except for Ingram may make it respectable, until MNF's Crescent City Connection.

(5) BuilingDW3LL1NGTh1nk1ng 7-4 (5 bb) vs (8) HomeSpunNeckBloodz 5-6 (5 bb)
Ever-new-look Chico Boyz will debut Shoelace in an elimination match for Derrick Carr and the Spintron.

(6) SanFranciscoFerries 6-5 (3 bb) vs (9) Trichotillomaniacs 3-8 (10 bb)
The Boatmen try to safe-land the Ferries onto playoff dock in a match Dez and the Hairpullers are battling for pride and moral victory.

(10) ThePelicanBrief 3-8 (5 bb) vs (11) Polk High Panthers 2-9 (5 bb)
Ever-so-important moral victory match as the Bundys showcase their starz in a too-late fashion. Big Ben on bye is the last chance to make dropping a kicker count.

Week 10 Stock Market & Previewz

Week 10 usually means crunch time.  Previous week's upsets surprisingly didn't alter the league landscape much, except maybe there are now five elite teams (Girlz, Nauts, TTM, Dijon and BDT) vying for the top two first-round bye spots.  Up to five teams are battling for the last playoffs seat, among whom the Ferries at 5-4 clearly is the favorite, but four games remaining against TTM, BDT, Trix and Dijon make it a tough road for them to even go 2-2 to finish 7-6.  So the door is still open but the rest of the hopefuls are in just-win-out-and-hope-for-the-best mode. One thing the upsets did was put more liquidity into the thinning waiver market, which could see some volatility moving forward.  Another heavy dose of bye here with Houston, Indy, Minnesota, New England, San Diego and Washington all with multiple fantasy stars on break.

I'll admit, with circumstances this isn't my A-effort in writing the previewz, many comments aren't backed by research.  Just you know.  What you expect, I wasn't supposed to have any money left after going all-in for AP.  Anyhow, this is B-day week, so I'm forgiven.

The Guide
-Bounce-Back Week
(t-1) Phat Girlz 7-2 (3 bb) vs (5) BuildingDW3LL1NGTh1nk1ng 6-3 (10 bb)
The much anticipated Week 10 showdown on Luck-TY bye and BDT QB change will feature two teams on mini-losing skids at two drops in a row.  Neither teams can afford to make it three for first-round bye hopes.

"Just one of those days," sighed Monique, and true that.  Week 10 loss for the entourage saw no one other than Luck and TY crack 5 pts while Forte and Cobb were on bye.  Now it's Luck and TY's turn to sit.  While the returning studs will surely pick up where they left off, Ginger is no where to be seen on her bench and there aren't great options at QB in the market with injuries mounting at the position.  Tate's lack of production following offensive line injuries and the subsequent arrival of RBBC makes the once-attractive Cleveland backfield a potential doom.  Monique opened up her phat wallet and went after AP's supposedly near-return in a playoff-aimed move.  But meanwhile for the first time this season, Monique's breathing sounds heavier.

Romo's injury affected the Boyz heavily in Week 10 as low-balling spread from Dez through the roster.  Eli replacing Tony over Robert actually got some good garbage time points to be respectable, and Morris is a clear beneficiary of sharing the backfield with RGIII.  BDT's sentimental attachment to Romo was much less as he was cut loose in a personnel move.  Nelson needs to beat Cobb in TD reception to lift the Dwellers here.

Favorable odds for the Philosophic Ones.

-Rivalry-Week Rematch
(t-1) AEthernauts 7-2 (2 bb) vs (10) Shock_Pix® 3-6 (15 bb)
Nauts beat their Rivalry-Week match handily.

Nauts got the W in Week 9, but it wasn't pretty.  Emanuel Sanders maxed the troops at 16 pts in an effort in which only Cam cracked double digits among the rest of the lineup.  The backfield has some concerns, with Romo-less Murray running into some walls and McKinnon thrice getting vultured by Asiata.  Now with Minnesota and New England on bye, they need immediate RB help but waiver options were limited this week, making some gaps in the Big Sky.  Nauts need bounce-back performances by Newton and DeMarco to avoid getting Shocked.

The Shockers were just several roster moves away from pulling off another one.  Harvin's move to Meadowlands is clearly benefiting the speedster and psychedog, and Hill will surely get the start this week with Gio still nursing in the infirmary.  There are some offensive gaps to fill come Sunday noon-time, but 2014's version of el mundo is a force to be reckoned with week-in and week-out.

Tempted to touch this upsetters chune.  Sweet like Beres Hammond.

-Rivalry-Week Rematch 2
(3) TakingTigerMountain 6-3 (3 bb) vs (6) SanFranciscoFerries 5-4 (10 bb)
Another rivalry-week rematch: this one with much playoffs implication.

Of the top teams, only TigerMoutain stood firm in Week 9.  Their beatdown of Phat Girlz with season's largest points margin was impressive from Thursday start to Sunday night finish, with all skills position players in the doubles while Sanu and Asiata b345ting on the bench.  WIth Ingram's return to form, Crescent City Connection is threefold now and the rest of the pieces are there with potent NE, Denver and Pitt offensive weapons lined up to fire upon will.  This team has turned the corner and looks built to capture that big phat trophy.  Who needs AP with a team like this now.

Odd-numbered week meant Ferries win, which they pulled off rather efficiently without cracking a hundred.  Odell Beckham Jr.'s emergence is a relief to the Boatmen while their other receivers are stalling.  They get their potent NFC North backfield Lacy and Bush back from bye, but it's Gronk's turn to sit plus Seattle's offensive struggle is affecting the QB numbers here.  We'll see if they turn to Stafford in a crucial game.  The Ferries can ill-afford to keep alternating win and loss, and this game against a 6-3 team is a near-must win if they want to make that playoffs aspiration secured.

Always like favorable odds, but betting against Antonio Brown and TTM is scary.

-Housing Court
(4) Dijonnaise All-Stars 6-3 (2 bb) vs (t-11) Polk High Panthers 2-7 (15 bb)
The battle between former tenant and landlord have their status reversed here.

All season long, Dijon must have fielded trade offers for QB1 Rivers with stern No-s in anticipation for Week 9's A-Rodg bye.  One week Philip Rivers needed to perform, he gets a negative two, costing the Mustards sixth-straight win and the top-ranking rod.  That's Philip Rivers for you.  Just like Cutler.  Just like Romo.  Break down at crutch.  That's why Eli is Eli.  He's the two-time Superbowl MVP.  Ok, I digress, whatever it's B-day, I don't want to do much researching so just trying to fill the page here.  Besides, I'm tired of looking at Week 9 Dijon-Trix box score.  Back to Dijon, Mike Evans' breakout performance and Miller continuing to shine with the Fins were bright spots in the loss, and Foster gets a timely bye to heal whatever new ailment he got going so it's not all bad for Colonel getting A-Rodg and not-so-Hot-lanta pieces back.

Big Ben's two-week performance is historical, but what's more astonishing is Polk High actually started Roethlisberger on both occasions, the second of which landed them a much awaited W.  AJ got back and while not dominant found the endzone to snap Bundys out of league-worst seven game skid.  Now that Megatron is also due back, this team is positioned to a) go after Moral Victory and Consy prizes hard and; b) wreck havoc on top-tiered teams for the next two weeks with back-to-back matches against Dijon and Nauts.

Good thing I didn't lose all my money on AP, because this one looks tasty.  Oh I'm tempted to touch yet again.

-Talkers battle
(7) Trichotillomaniacs 3-6 (3 bb) vs (t-11) ThePelicanBrief 2-7 (10 bb)
Two of the unique PSAS franchises with whole system and culture that extend beyond the Yahoo frontpage and the Blogger blog face each other in the fifth dimension, third eye vision, whatever.

Trichs have had their back against the river for a while now, and the river front is moving forward.  In Maclin, they've finally got the WR1 that they've been waiting for.  WR2 production is still hard to get right, with Benjamin, Watkins, Floyd and D-Jax all consistently underproducing when given chance to start.  Shady's quietly picking things up, just lacking TDs which may or may not come now that Mark Sanchez is at the helm.  (Tell me, those that follow college football and especially Pac-10, wasn't Sanchez rated so much higher than Foles coming out?  I don't really know since I've been taking Saturdays off from football for awhile now).  Anyhow, in Denard Robinson, they've also got the RB2/Flex in case of Ahmad break-down (or bye which is this week).  General Far East likes to gain momentum here before facing rival Girlz in Week 11.

Of all the upsets in Week 9, Pelican's over BDT, while discounting the rivalry aspect, was the most impressive.  Brady-B345tM0d3 tandem going for 55 pts and Seattle D regaining fantasy relevance gives moral boost to the Grishamites moving forward.  Week 10 is Brady bye, so Flacco will start in fill-in duty.  Week 10 bye is quietly hitting Pelican hard, making them scramble left to right in the waiver market like me picking beer at gas station walk-in cooler.

Another good odds if you look at their records and no further.

-Elimination
(8) HomeSpunNeckBloodz 4-5 (3 bb)vs (9) The Old Future 3-6 (10 bb)
Two franchises on the wrong side of the fence are in knock-out battle that only one can emerge out of and keep hope.  The loser, please pack your knives and go.

Week 9's near-miss of an unset over Nauts was even more bitter as Bloodz lost Foles probably for the rest of the fantasy season.  There aren't great options left at QB (Alex Smith, Kyle Orton?), which doesn't help the Spinning Wheel as they lack points to back up getting another loss.  At least they get some NFC North tools returning from bye so they don't have to rely so heavily on the Giants, but it'll take some ingenuity to get the spinning going.

Old Future really needed that W in Week 9 not just for their own sake but for the rest of the bottom of the league's hope.  Now at six losses, the timewarps are truly backed against the wall.  There's probably some mathematical possibility, but it's a long-shot now for the rookies to get to the playoffs.  Last year, a long-shot rookie made playoffs and eventually lost in the championship after some crazy outcomes dictated things in the final weeks of regular season, so keep fighting.  As for the roster, beyond Peyton there's really not much to get excited about here.  They have a serviceable QB stashed on the bench and several teams with QB needs will be calling on them this week, though they aren't likely to get as high a value as earlier in the season for Matty Ice.

Luck of draw has this evenly matched game giving another favorable odds.  Hey-hey-ho, what a week full of Lee Perries.

Week 8 Stock Market & Previewz

As the week progresses, the craziness of that MNF and its aftermath is starting to settle (in).  It was a year ago from tomorrow that AEthernauts was robbed a victory by the g0dz turned the season up side down (sorry to keep bringing that up).  Must be something about Week 7.  Well that's in the rearview mirror now and we've come to Week 8.  San Francisco and NY Football Giants are on bye interestingly in the week of SF Giants World Series appearance.  Sorry SF people--go Royals--Aoki is my man, always getting pinch-run by Dyson at crutch.  (Contrary to Monique and Mrs. Al Bundy's insistence, I don't root for the Yankees nor sleep in a Derek Jeter PJ.  While I think Mo Rivera was the best pitcher I've had the pleasure to watch throw live--by far, and I frequent the Stadium to watch my countrymen play ball in this alien land, the DJ Calendar I received as a B-day gift one year went straight to recycle bin, tbt, but we digress)

More injuries, more need for cash m$n3y.  Fortuna has been favoring giants of late, as the past two week's the inflated casino prize went to Girlz and then to BDT, fattening up the fatties.  Injury bugs as well have relatively stayed away from the top tier teams while hitting the commoners and the food-stampers harshly.  Parity is double-edged sword, and with heavy loads of 6-team bye weeks returning in Week 9 team interest turnout at the bottom of the league needs to be monitored.

The Guide
-"Initiation Who's Alpha"
(1) Phat Girlz 7-0 (3 bb) vs (8) The Old Future 2-5 (10 bb)
The Rookie Timewarp face the biggest time disturbance yet, facing the Uptown Top Ranking.
Girlz emerged victorious from Week 7 showdown against the Nauts and is perfect 7-0.  Another stellar performances from the Luck, Forte et al, Monique has Colt McCoy to thank for rewarding her Flex decision to go with Garçon.  With line up full of matchup-proof performers save for maybe TE, it just looks like, knock on woods, it would take a very unfortunate event in Indianapolis to slow down these biatches.
The Futurists dropped a tough one to previously winless Pelican in Week 7, and is holding on to a straw in their rookie campaign.  Major lowball was the result of injuries to Freddie and Spill (though the worst injured one gave Oldies some points) and Chicago Blues affecting Alshon.  When no one from WR/RB/TE positions score over 3 points and Peyton is the only player in double digits, a W was a tall glass of Shock Top that they couldn't handle.  The depleted backfield's outlook is not bright with Gore on bye and T-Rich limping in Week 8, and after missing out on RB waiver-pick ups

There are many favorable odds in PSAS stock market, but this is not one of them.

-"Trying to extend it to five"
(2) BuildingDW3LL1NGTh1nk1ng 6-1 (5 bb) vs (4) Dijonnaise All-Stars 5-2 (5 bb)
Could be another playoff preview with two top-tiered teams both on four-game winning streaks face each other in Week 8 showdown.
The Philosophic Ones rode on their keeper Boyz yet again for a fourth straight win in Week 7.  They've only lost to the Nauts in Week 3, who they traded parts with last week and this week.  The trades look like it gave BDT lineup a nice lift plus a counter-titration against Mustards' A-Rodg with Nelson addition.  The Dez-Jordy WR tandem is quite possibly the best in the league as Megatron-AJ duo in Polk Country is out of service.  Look for Boyz to make a MNF comeback with Romo-Dez facing Morris's Washington.

It was a statement game for the Yellow in Week 8 with six starters in double figure.  With Miller Poupon Grey have found a solid RB2 with upside.  Receiver trio of Rodney White, Mike Wallace and Kendall Wright represent this year's Dijon well; surprise performers.  Foster is their poster child, and while his health will always be the question for the rest of his career, Mustards are prepared, with handcuff Blue stashed on bench.  Colonel's resume will improve significantly if they can beat the Philosophers here.
Tough one here, gambler's choice.

-Sky vs Sea
(3) AEthernauts 5-2 (3 bb) vs (5) SanFranciscoFerries 4-3 (10 bb)
Probably the game with most playoffs implication of the week, neither teams have dropped two in a row yet this season.  It has the making to be another instant classic.
Nauts was one TD reception or a good outing from their kicker away from handing the Girlz their first loss, but the outcome showed that, at this point of the season they are slightly behind Phatties in the pecking order.  Newton had yet another quiet-for-his-potential game, while Zac Stacey's status in StL is a concern.  Nauts traded away Jordy and Ivory for Golden and McKinnon, which on the surface look like a slight dip in talent.  They still have the depth on their roster if they can keep getting the titration right.

Ferries quietly had the week's highest scoring with 136 behind Russel Wilson's 39 pts.  Frisco Kid was relieved to see Welker and Lacy get to the endzone, and Bell is one of the few workhorse back left.  Beckham Jr's breakout could compensate for Cordarrelle and Gronk struggling once he gets back from bye.  Boatmen need this one to launch away from the .500 line and get their first consecutive wins of the season.
Favorable odds for an upsetter, but do Ferries have what it takes is the question.

-Bounce Back Week Brees-Brady prezented by Shock Top
(6) TakingTigerMountain 4-3 (3 bb) vs (11) ThePelicanBrief 1-6 (10 bb)
Both teams are coming off nail-biters in Week 7.  TigerMtn is trending down while Pelican looks to move up the ladder.  A truck-load of Shock-Top will be consumed by the end of this one.
TTM's 1-point loss to Dijon marked three in a row.  It corresponds to Jimmy G's injury and NOLO bye, showcasing how much CCC means to this franchise.  The revamped backfield of Vereen and Hillman played admirably, both scoring well in the twenties.  In a way, officials robbed the Tigers of victory, as they were Antonio Brown's called-back TD / Luke Kuechly's four-tackles-if-he-wasn't-ejected away from getting back to the top tier of PSAS.  Keeper Antonio Brown is truely a WR1. Brees, while not record-setting, keeps playing at a serviceable level, but Daniel Sans can use a big game against A-Rodg's GB in SNF to secure a W and hold on to the playoffs musical chair.
Cheers!  It's a Shock Top moment for everyone when that last monkey is off the back.  While the Grishamites started celebrating early and was tipsy when MNF scare was over, it's a win nonetheless.  Wasn't pretty, as the second lowest score beat the lowest score in a match that saw only two double digit performances by the Pelican squad.  Lynch and Julio have had back-to-back duds, plus keeper Seattle DEF scoring in the negative adds to the Shock Top hangover for the Pelican.  These entities are sure to have bouncebacks, plus stashing Tre Mason a week before the breakout can be the trigger for Shock Top-like resurgence by the Grishamites.  More Shock Tops, please.
Odds favor another Pelican upset.  After one too many, I could be a buyer.

-Turkey's Nest Bowl
(7) HomeSpunNeckBloodz 4-3 (3 bb) vs (9) Shock_Pix® 2-5 (10 bb)
If and when these two faced each other eight years ago on a wee hours of Sunday morning, that was sure to be a sight to pay money to observe at Turkey's Nest spilled over to McCarren Park.  Now that we've grown a bit older and matured a bit, we use fantasy football to settle the score, much to a delight of TigerMtn.
All jokes aside, Bloodz face a match that they can't afford to drop here at crunch time.  They were lucky to escape with a win last week, and while it wasn't Reggie IDPs helped big with two double-digit performers lifting the bye-depleted offense.  Only Andre Ellington and fill-in QB Alex Smith cracked ten on the offensive side of the ball.  In Week 8 they are dealing with Giants bye, but depth is not really an issue for this squad at this point.  Getting the titration right is, and they need it here against dangerous Shock_Pix squad.
Shock's semi-auto pilot couldn't handle the aftermath of Harvin trade, and while Demaryius exploded like Heinz bottle spilling ketchup all over Waffle House plates, it didn't materialize.  DT makes this team one to monitor week in and week out after psych dog succeeded in replacing his injured backs with each of their respective/respectable handcuffs.  The still-missing one IDP is just a charm.  Harvin's upside with Geno and the Jets is a mystery, but Cutler should bounce back after Marshall rant.

I'm still short on Primordials, but another favorable odds will collect dividends for Shock from those looking for value pick for sure.

-Elimination Game
(10) Trichotillomaniacs 1-6 (5 bb) vs (12) Polk High Panthers 1-6 (5 bb)
Two struggling one-win teams play an elimination game.  The loser will pack their bags and await consolation tourney.

Trichs' truly have their back at the bank now with 6 losses, same number as they did last year when they made the playoffs as the lone 7-6 team thanks to high-scoring ways they demonstrated throughout the season.  The scoring is there again this year (fourth in the league) albeit at a lesser scale; the wins aren't.  Week 7 was destined to be a tough one since they drafted both McCoy and Martin high (both had their bye last week), but a loss is always disappointing nonetheless.  Good news is, Kaep's bye this week will mark the end of the bulk of bye season for the Far East Rulaz just at a time the rest of the league goes into heavy rotation of missing players.  The always-motivated Hairpullers could be the generator of chaos in the second half if they can find ways to win.

No team has been hit harder with injuries than Bundys that still didn't get Megatron or AJ back in losing six-straight.  They did have an almost win over Bloodz in Week 7 thanks to their AFC West (repre-zent) backfield of Charles and DMC that's looking more respectable as the season progresses.  The WR duo's return countdown has begun, and when they do, Polk High's lineup will look formidable thanks to their revamped backfield and IDPs.

At even odds, another gambler's choice.  Y'all know who I'll pick (I'm 1-6 buying Trix baby!)

Week 6 Stock Market

Girlz stand atop the standings and rankingz with an impressive season-opening five game winning streak.  Three teams (BDT, Nauts and TigerMtn) are right behind at 4-1.  Two teams are still itching to fill that W column with something.  Three 2-3 teams still have plenty of chance to get over .500 and crack the playoffs.  It's the unlikeliest of the 2-3 teams that challenge the throne this week.  Week 6 is a key week, and what a lineup of matches this week.  All top-tiered teams face the bottom feeders of the league, while market performers will knock each other out.  This is a crucial week for all franchises; top teams can't afford to lose to their lesser opponents, middle teams have to win to stay afloat, and the junks desperately need the win to salvage their seasons.  Such week creates crazy odds that favor those who gamble, and after last week's correction, don't be surprised if Public Funds Index this week goes up by three digits, which should help teams that scrambled to fill in injured players and those Chiefs and Saints on bye.

The payout schedule for each 5 bankerbitez bet is as following.

-Who's Knocking
(1) Phat Girlz (2 bb) 5-0 vs (10) Shock_Pick 2-3 (15 bb)
It's another chance for psychedog to shock the world as the primordial ones face undefeated Girlz.

Towering alone atop the standings, Monique, Luck and Co. is clearly the team to beat and is a head above the rest of the league.  While Luck was ordinary in Week 5, there's always someone on this roster that has a big game.  It was Forte's turn this week.  Ben Tate's return to top form is a welcomed news for Monique when Tennessee ground game is starting to stall.  At the same time, Week 5 was also exposing; Girlz are vulnerable when Luck doesn't have a huge game.  Garçon's hair-pulling flex lowballing was an example of the lack of depth that this club has, which can be exploited with the return of bye bonanza.

Shock is back, and it's the buzz of PSAS.  True, there was still one IDP on IR in the lineup in Week 5 that continued the protesting trend.  But DT's 2014 breakout performance and solid weeks by perennial underrated Cutler plus Harvin's three TDs-taken-away give this franchise plenty to be excited about.  Rashad Jennings' injury comes just too early for Ryan Mathews' return, so we saw Shock opened up their wallet for the first time in a big way, landing them Oliver, Williams, Rainey, Witten and Storm.  Shockers look for realz.

The odds are essentially doubled for Shock with below-noted freebie plus they look to be serious now, so a rare chance for psychedog to collect dividends here.

-Motown-New Orleans Connection
(2) BuildingDW3LL1NGTh1nk1ng 4-1 (2 bb) vs (9) Polk High Panthers 1-4 (15 bb)
Two franchises heading for opposite directions face each other.  As Bundy visits Chico, New Orleans backfield on bye affects both teams splitting handoffs from Brees.

Currently, Boyz in Chico are arguably the second-hottest team in PSAS.  Romo-Dez express is as strong as ever, and Megatron's injury-concern is Golden's jackpot.  The concern here is the backfield.  Morris lowballed against Seattle D, Montee got injured, and Khiry is on bye in Week 6.  BDT will probably unleash McKinnon here, but that has it's own risk.  Dallas plays Seattle this week, which could limit the upside of the heart of this team.  If there's any week other than Dallas's bye, this may be the one that German Philosophers are particularly vulnerable.

Megatron's injury took away the chance for Al Bundy to snap the losing streak.  Detroit shutting Calvin down may eventually help Polk High, but the question is if the Panthers can stay afloat until fantasy's #1 WR gets healthy.  A couple of goose eggs laid by IDPs showcase how risky it is to carry defensive players with injury concerns, especially for struggling teams like Bundy's.  While it may only be a couple of points, that could be what determines the outcome of a game.  Untimely bye will keep both P. Thomas and Charles out, and the remaining RBs on the roster are DMC and Blount.  Unlike Shock, Bundy kept the string of his wallet tight and didn't get any of the available upgrades at the RB position, and now has to scrape the FAs to found replacements.

Boyz have their own backfield concern, but Bundy looks to be lacking canons to sink them.  Still there's the favorable odds.

-100 Bowl
(3) AEthernauts 4-1 (2 bb) vs (12) ThePelicanBrief 0-5 (15 bb)
A battle between these two storied franchises could come closer than their records and scoring averages indicate.

While Nauts got hiccuped by the Yellow Jackets in Week 5, they are the only team other than Girlz to score over 100 in each game this season.  Eli didn't connect with Cruz, and Big Sky has been chasing TE production by Marty B and Gates.  Still, this is DeMarco's team and he continues to sizzle.  Lesser Manning visits Philly this week, who's been surprisingly solid.  His production would be key to avoid another upsetter here.

Pelican's season is in the blink of extinction before they can crack triple digit points.  LynchMob continues to bulldoze through tacklers and score points, and Julio's been as much of a WR1 as the Grishamites hoped for when they traded Charles to grab him.  But beyond that this roster is full of inconsistencies.  Brady joins this list, who scored over 20 on the bench in Week 5.  Keeper-Seattle D has pretty much being a non-factor, ranking 29th in fantasy points scored.  It's really been that kind of a year.

The odds are there.  Will you take it?

-Rasta Bowl
(4) TakingTigerMountain 4-1 (2 bb) vs (11) Trichotillomanics 0-5 (15 bb)
Daniel-San's Dojo tries to finish off the Hairpullers' season early in yet another match between Blue Chip and Junk.

Coming off a bitter first loss, TigerMtn faces dreaded New Orleans bye week.  This time, it may be a blessing in disguise, as Jimmy G gets two full weeks to recover from his recent shoulder injury.  In need of QB and TE fill-ins, it'll be interesting to see what they do with AP here.  As it turns out, we'll find out something about Peterson's trial date on Wednesday, which is a half-day too late for TTM to make a drastic move in the waiver-wire.  In Week 5 loss, TigerMtn left some points on the bench, which signals the difficulty of titrating this line-up that lacks set-and-forget options beyond QB and TE positions.  Week 6, in many ways, will be a test for Tiger Mountain despite a favorable schedule facing the winless Trix.

What more can we say more about the defending champs?  Beyond Kaepernick, Maclin, and Orange Julius, it's just too hard to predict where the production will come from week-in and week-out.  Shady is an unbenchable lowballer in the making, while Martin, Bradshaw and Ridley all come with their own baggage.  It's hard to pick between Floyd, Benjamin, Watkins and D-Jax at WR2/Flex.  Even the kicker is making only PATs.  With their back against the wall, this is a must-must win game for the Hairpullers.  Of course, one of Sun Tzu's famous strategy that was employed successfully in history is the one in which his troops took their position with the river on their back.  The positioning cut off the route of retreat for the troops, which made them fight for their lives and defeated a much larger enemy.  Obviously history often differs from fantasy, at least Trix face TTM at Brees-Graham bye.

Favorable odds plus TTM on NOLO bye makes this another intriguing upset pick, self-promotion or not.

-Beard Papa Bowl prezented by Norelco
(5) SanFranciscoFerries (5 bb) 3-2 vs (8) HomeSpunNeckBloodz 2-3 (5 bb)
Two storied market performers battle each other to climb up the ladder to the next level.

Their Week 5 win over Polk High was a convincing one behind huge games by Wilson, Lacy and Gronk.  All three of them gave Ferries reasons to smile as they all proved something.  The result is a championship contender in the making.  The Boatmen are notoriously good through bye weeks and toward the crutch time, and this could be the team that the Blue Chips are fearing the most at this point.  As of Wednesday morning, the Ferries got a crowded bench full of WR2 and Flex options.  Tough decisions loom later in the week as they fill cut at least two of them to fill IDP positions, but not too much of a concern.  More is better, and IDPs are just interchangeable save for few elites.
The Bloodz really had a chance against top-ranked Girlz but came up short in Week 5.  They miss titrated, chasing both Donnell and Smith Sr Hunter and Randle had solid production on the bench.  Such is life of a fantasy baller, as Bloodz very well know.  Foles is having something akin to Sophomore slump, and the author can relate to the frustration of believing the hype.  If the Philly QB can turn things around and Cyclotron can point toward the right titration, this is still a dangerous team with solid running (Gio-Ellington) and receiving (VJax-Marshall) duos.  Knocking out Frisco Kids on the berge of A-class will be a much needed statement for the Bloodz.  On the side note, we may finally see the one with girly name dropped, as Bloodz seek Team D fill-in for KC.
Even odds make it easy to pick who you like.  I like ...

-Rookie-Sophomore Game
(6) The Old Future (5 bb) 2-3 vs (7) Dijonnaise All-Stars 3-2 (5 bb)
Dogfight battle between two franchises hoping for their first PSAS playoff appearances.

Futuristic Ones manhandled Trix in Week 5 easily.  After their Week 1 debacle, McFly Kids are averaging an impressive 119 points/game.  Peyton, Alshon and Gore's big games were buoyed by Julius Pepper's pic-6 (Serge can still play!) in Week 5.  True, Buffalo backfield of Spiller and Freddie is somewhat of a crap shoot, but with Frank the Tank's yet another emergence as a solid RB1 gives this team a pillar at RB position.  If the pillars can stay erect, the rookies have a good shot at making the top 6.

Quietly Colonel Mustard have put together a nice team that produced the highest scoring lineup of Week 5.  Colonel got two TDs each by Kendall, Foster and Olsen.  Even Steven Jackson got to the endzone.  Blowout win in Lambeau Field meant Rodgers didn't have to throw much, but from what he and Rivers showcased last week it's evident that Colonel has two QB1s on their roster.  Words on the street is that Colonel could be putting one on the market, presumably to get needed upgrades at WR and RB positions as he eyes making the playoffs in his sophomore year.  Several franchises are looking for bye week fills or upgrades at QB, so Colonel won't lack any suitors.

This is a tough even odds to predict as both teams are rolling with momentum.

Week 4 Recap

Week 4 is in the bags.  Phat Girlz, TakingTigerMountain, and AEthernauts start the season 4-0 and are clearly the teams to beat.  These three are yet to face each other obviously and they still won't in Week 5, so someone needs to step up or these three catz will just runaway into playoffs.  The talk of the town is not who's winning, however.  It's who's not.  Trichotillomaniacs and Pelican Brief start the season 0-4.  Last year, only one 7-6 team made the playoffs (Trix), and to get there the Far East Rulaz and the Grishamites need to finish the rest of regular season 7-2.  Of course, SanFranciscoFerries went 9-0 last year after an 0-4 start, but that's tall orders for this year's winless ones as they both have a game each left against all three of the undefeateds. We are only a little over two month away from 2014 playoffs with 2014 season in full-bloom.

Return to Sender
For the second time in three weeks, picking Houston's JJ Watt would have won the prize for Casino Gulag, when the freakish athlete had a pic-6 for 80 ydz.  Other notable returns-for-distances include Jordan Todman (174!!! ydz), Latavius Murray (112 ydz), Darren Sproles (86 ydz), Cordarrelle Patterson (86 ydz) and CJ Spiller (82 ydz).  In the end, the PSAS Return to Sender crown goes to the King of Returners, Devin Hester for 78 ydz.

Future: Jarvis Landry, 9 ydz
TTM: Solomon Patton, 74 ydz
Trix: Devin Hester, 78 ydz
Nauts: Andre Roberts, 33 ydz
BDT: Tedd Ginn Jr, DNP-Bye

Trichotillomaniacs will be awarded the 15+5 bankerbitez prize (thanks Hermodorus for bid submission).

Stock Market
The market saw little activity this week, and the little we saw were played fairly conservatively.  For the past few years, the market trend has been to short-sell Shock, and while their stock showed slight resistance last week, the two-year moving average gulped them up again in Week 4.  Colonel Mustard and the winners that invested in Dijon are the beneficiaries, though Trix loss (again) prevented bigger market gains.  All three 3-0 teams won so 4-0 was a hit but no one bought the attractive derivative that would have paid 40 bbz for three favorites to all win.  The elusive derivative that is Celebrity Jeopardy failed again, and with the Future and Trix bound to face each other it'll make it five weeks of miss.

Week 4 Stock Market

We are already in the 2nd quarter of 2014 PSAS season.  Week 4 marks the arrival of dreaded bye weeks, with six teams getting the early break to the season.  NFL teams that are off this week are Denver, Seattle, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Arizona, and Saint Louis, all of which feature fantasy starters for many of PSAS franchises.

The waiver market has had 200 bbz pumped in through public funds.  That's an average of 5.7% weekly gain and an inflation rate of.  Of course, the wealth is not spread equally, and in the last two weeks we saw stock market winners winning bids in waiver auctions.  One thing still true is that you lose if you don't participate through inflation.

The payout schedule for each 5 bankerbitez bet is as following.

*Based on weekly Power Rankingz.  In case of a tied rank, commissioner's ruling will be published here.

First Overall Pick QB Bowl
(1) Phat Girlz (5 bb) vs (4) San Francisco Ferries (5 bb)
Monique and the Girlz are atop the rankingz following a convincing win that let's them represent a Japanese automaker for the week.  The Girlz are scoring consistently over 116 pts mostly due to a monster year Luck is having with various parts coming through to support each week.  Not much is taken away from the entourage in the first week of this bye season, but injuries to Hilton and Decker is a concern.  Maybe Monique will employ Tennessee's RBBC onto her starting lineup, and soon we'll see the entire Titans on her roster.  As for the Ferries, it's the third time in four weeks that the Bay Area Boatmen face a top-ranked opponent.   Last week against a non-top-ranked Pelican, they mistitrated a bit and had to sweat it out.  The QB and WR positions have been hard to get right week-in and week-out, but Wilson and Co. on bye make the decision easier for this one and Stafford will take the rein.  While Bell has been a typical Pittsburgh workhorse, Lacy hasn't cracked double digits yet this year.  At least Reggie Bush came through and it's good to get production out of him while he's still standing.  Better odds could have made this an easy upsetter's choice, but the ranking godz aren't buying.  Even odds here favor the Phatties.

Fatherhood Bowl sponsored by Pampers
(2) TakingTigerMountain (3 bb) vs (8) Polk High Panthers (10 bb)
TigerMountain came out of last week's Brees-Manning Bowl standing, though it was a close one.  While Brees-Graham were rather ordinary for their standard, Antonio Brown's performance against Carolina D may have punched his ticket into the elite weekly-must-start fantasy receiver category.  Meanwhile, their RBs are going down like flies swatted by a tree branch ever since the AP switch incident.  At least the bankerbitez earned through the market landed them Asiata, but relying on Minnesota offense is not a preferable situation.  Combined with Sproles and Vereen, TTM ground game is a lot dependent on support from aerial attacks and doesn't scare their opponents physically.  As for Bundy's Team, things aren't going in reverse for the time being, understandably with arrival of their second child coinciding with the PSAS season.  Once formidable WR corps are looking rather average, when waiver-pick-upper Hopkins lead the crew in points.  The good news here is that Charles look like he's close to returning.  Nonetheless, aside from two children to care to, carrying three QBs and two team defenses is going to be tough through the bye weeks.  Saints march to Dallas where Texas Shootout is the brew, so tough to pick the upset against TTM.  Another ranking godz tease.

Streak Bowl
(3) AEthernauts (3 bb) vs (7) Trichotillomaniacs (10 bb)
Two teams prepared for bye weeks with their depth will face each other, though the early season has gone completely opposite ways for them.  While both franchises have starters taking an early rest (Stacy, West and Sanders for Nauts, Floyd and Julius for the Trix), both teams have deep benches to compensate.  Last week's win over BDT put the Nauts in the upper echelon of the early season, but it was rather unconvincing.  While ground game was solidly led by DeMarco and Stacy in that wild St. Loise-Dallas game, Big Sky chased Gates' huge production against Seattle the previous week and got nothing out of him.  It was hurtful because Marty B on bench scored two TDs.  With bye week keeping key RBs on the bench, Nauts look set to go two TE set or counter-titration WR Matthews at flex this week.  Production in the bench (almost 70 points last week) hasn't really helped the Hairpullers so far either, but bye week means less chance of missed titration for a team as deep as the them.  Last week's loss to Shock exposed the vulnerability of this team when Shady McCoy lays a goose.  McCoy wasn't concussed after all but the issue may be at Philly's offensive line, which in the end is a much bigger obstacle to Shady's performance and the Trix's season.  With Julius on bye, Trix need Shady, and Trix need a win.  Although it's a match between loss-less and win-less, the prediction is fairly even and the odds favor the upsetters.

Josh Gordon Stash Bowl prezented by Your Local Ford Dealer
(5) BuildingDW3LL1NGTh1nk1ng (5 bb) vs (6) The Old Future (5 bb)
These teams knocking on the doors of blue-chip performers will fight to knock each-other out.  In their loss, BDT's Dallas x2Titr8x showed life but there was not much else.  Several of hand-cuff RBs flashed promises, but endzone was hard to come by for the German Philosophers.  They landed DeAngelo rather inexpensively, and following injuries to both Stewart and Tolbert, this injured-one may be that back that was needed in Chico as Williams is suddenly the only running option for Ron Rivera with Cam's ribs and ankles gingerly cared for.  The Future Boys almost pulled off an upset in week 3 over TTM but in the end it was one OT-TD-by-Peyton short of the feat.  Peyton have been solid but not spectacular, and he's on bye.  The Rookies are prepared as they have Ryan stashed to take the rein.  With almost all of their IDPs on bye in Week 4 and lacking one roster spot to fill them all, there may be a difficult decision coming up later this week to drop a productive offensive player from their roster.  Witten getting the start at TE will be a good counter-titration move against BDT for Future.

Turnaround Bowl
(9) ThePelicanBrief (5 bb) vs (10) HomeSpunNeckBloodz (5 bb)
Two storied franchises haven't had the season to their likings so far, for sure.  Pelican have yet to crack 100 this season in three losses.  This despite Julio and Marshawn both having monster weeks of 30pts and 24pts respectively last week.  It looks finally time to bench Brady, so in comes Cousins whose signing last week may turn out to be the season saver for Pelican.  They still need one more RB after Woodhead went down and Lynch and Cunningham on bye.  Since the numbers don't add up here, the Grishamites clearly need to make a move.  Do we hear whispers of a trade with RB-rich rival BDT?  Bloodz split series with Dijon and maintained their side of Atlantic-Flatbush corridor.  Foles and Gio lead the hounds to victory, but now Gio and Ellington have to sit for bye.  Joique and Hyde will come to fill in, but both have limited upsides as part of RBBCs.  Brandon Marshall has been much of a headache for the Bloodz.  It'll be Foles that will have to carry this team on his shoulders to put them to .500 mark.

Kickers Bowl
(11) Dijonnaise All-Stars (5 bb) vs (12) Shock_Pick (5 bb)
A rare face-off of the bottom two teams will interestingly not feature the two win-less teams of the league.  The ranking godz clearly don't care for the kicker(s) situations of these two teams.  Colonel Mustard couldn't conquer Downtown Brooklyn with total of four goose eggs laid in week 3.  Both Foster and White were game-time inactives, which, more than questionable roster allocations, is more disconcerting to the Colonel's cause.  At least, the first bye week isn't much of an impact on their roster.  Shock got screwed a bit in the rankingz when they didn't climb out of the bottom despite defeating the 2013 champs.  Apparently the godz saw it more as a freak accident than anything.  In Week 4, with injuries and bye to key players, Shock doesn't really have enough eligible players to fill up their starting lineup.  This will be the true test to Shock's autopilot that's been adept at last-minute savings.  Will the godz be convinced?

Week 3 Stock Market

Week 3 is here, and aren't we glad after Week 2 was just so sucky.  Fantasy football sometimes quivers our hearts and stomachs like reading In Cold Blood and sympathizing with Perry Smith.  That was certainly the thought when I was hoping, ever so slightly but yes I admit, Andrew Luck and TY Hilton would get injured during MNF.  Of course, regardless of my wishing or lack there of, injuricalypse is here and we saw some big names go down in Week 2.  Football is a violent sport (Helloww--Herm) catering to that exact aspect of human psyche, and that is, after all, at the core of many issues surrounding the NFL today.  Time is often a cure, injuries included, and just when we thought time has given us the first step toward escaping issues surrounding the beatings of little folks and womenfolks by men, AP's switch is back on the table (as it should be).  Ok.  Well, we'll let TigerMountain deal with that.
As for the good ol' PSAS, we are starting to see separation of the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.  June and July OTAs are starting to pay for some franchises.  So, more matches this week for bigger odds, with only one game played within the tiers.

The payout schedule for 5 bankerbitez is as following.

                         Blue Chip     Market Performer     Junk
Blue Chip                  5                      3                          2
Market Performer     10                     5                          3
Junk                         15                     10                        5

This week's matchups are:
-Knile Davis Bowl
(1) TakingTigerMountain (3 bb) vs (7) The Old Future (10 bb)
Both teams are coming off convincing Rivalry Week wins, but injuries and violence were rampant and drew some shades in otherwise good week for both.  AP's presumed return in Week 3 is certainly good news for TigerMountain Tuesday turned AP's and his owners' (never liked that sound) fate upside down, and he's out indefinitely.  TigerMountain let Knile Davis test free agency and then saw Charles sprain ankle, only to have Knile snatched up (more like helicopter SWAT team kidnapping operation) by this week's opponent, so concern brews for Daniel-San's Dojo here.  Sproles looks like a legitimate weekly RB2/Flex option at least.  Moreno's snapped elbow and T-Rich's lack of carries in goal-line situation meant Team Formerly Known As James would be highly active in waiver-wire, and boy they were, outbidding everyone for Knile Davis with 66 of the good ol' bankerbitez.  Such move, while PSAS history isn't on Future's side, gives legitimate upset potential for the McFly Kids.

-Ann Gregory Bowl
(2) Phat Girlz (2 bb) vs (9) Polk High Panthers (20 bb)
The 3rd Annual Ann Gregory Bowl will test to see if Monique and Co. are for realz in 2014.  Cobb and Walker lifted the Girlz in Week 2, but Tate will likely be out again this week and Monique's reliance on Tennessee Titans that scored only one TD against Dallas is on shaky grounds with Green/Sankey facing the Bengals.  No team was hit harder by injuries than Bundy's in Week 2, with both AJ and Charles going down early in the game and gave Polk High no chance against their cross-town rival.  With not much depth in the bench of the star-studded Panthers roster, Bundy has no choice but to dig into the FA market and pick up some crumbs to give themselves a chance over a tough opponent.  Still, the odds are pretty attractive here, if you ask me.

-Chris Bowl
(3) AEthernauts (3 bb) vs (5) BldgDW3LL1NGTh1nk1ng (10 bb)
Two franchises off to a great start at 2-0 will face each other in this Battle of Chrises.  Both known for diligent titration, this game will be fun to watch.  Nauts roster is full of bounce-back legitimacy from Week 2 with the likes of Stacy, Ivory and Gates all surprising the league with solid performances.  Adding them to Nelson, Sanders and Bennett, and the Big Sky don't have to lean on the pillars of the franchise that is Newton and Murray.  Dallas offense will be featured, as always, by the Boyz in Chico, but it's been the rest of the lineup that's kept the ball rolling for BDT.  The winner of this match will join the elites of PSAS 2014.

-Wes Welker Bowl
(4) San Francisco Ferries (3 bb) vs (8) The Pelican Brief (10 bb)
This Californication match will feature two franchises looking for bounce-back after each dropped their respective bitter rivalry game.  SFF's record-setting regular-season winning streak is finally over as playing number one two weeks in a row proved too much for the Ferries.  Stafford and Cordarrelle came down to earth in Week 2, and with Seattle playing the Week 3 Super Bowl rematch against Denver, Ferries may go back to Wilson at the realm.  Pelican is more desperate for a win with an 0-2 record, but Tom Brady is evidently no longer a top 5 fantasy QB.  With Welker playing for SFF and Brady in decline, an era seems over for Grishamites and they may need to look for a new identity to salvage this young season and hope for an upset.

-Winless Bowl
(6) Trichotillomanics (3 bb) vs (12) Shock_Pick (10 bb)
Two teams in slump at 0-2 face each other in an early must-wins to keep legitimacy for both.  The Hairpullers actually have the fourth highest scoring offense and is one of several teams that have triple digits average.  But it's the W-L column that counts and the General will be happy to get the monkey off his back.  With Martin likely involved in RBBC after Rainey's strong show in Week 2 and playing on Thursday game, Stevan Ridley dilemma seems back in full swing in the Far East.  As for the Shock_Pick, it's fair to say that many of us are actually rooting for them to do well, even if that is so that we won't lose the franchise's seemingly short attention span.  An 0-2 start, while a predictable one, is not ideal here, with the roster starting to thin out after Mathews was injured yet again.  Let's hope this is indeed A New Beginning for the psychedog franchise.

-Barclays Center Bowl 2.0
(10) Dijonnaise All-Stars (5 bb) vs (11) HomeSpunNeckBloodz (5 bb)
The second half of Downtown Brooklyn turfwarz will be played on the other side of Juniors across Flatbush.  In the first match, Vinatieri outkicked Foles on MNF to capture the win.  Vernon's injury occurs on one of those roster positions for Colonel Mustard that are strangely deep, the others being QB and Kicker positions, and Foster's preseason zen absence is paying off with the yogi retaining the RB1 form much to surprise of fantasy communities around the country.  Theoretically Bloodz have a better roster, but their manager is in titration slump as of late, and his Smack Talk ranting doesn't give investors much hope.  Still, it's hard to imagine Bloodz dropping two in a row to the Tobacco Road-esque rival.  Better odds would have made it more attractive to bet on the Cycloton, but Colonel carrying two kickers have kept ranking godz uninterested.

Stock Market Week 2

Stock Market reopens for Week 2.  We saw the potential of multifacta derivative almost winning in week 1.  It's not a question of if they will hit but when, and when they do, the only way you get paid is if you play.  So play big while the odds favor gamblers big time.

With Rivalry Week at hand, the matchups this week are all tough, but there are some upset potentials plus derivatives and freebies look attractive.

The payout schedule for 5 bankerbitez is as following.

                         Blue Chip     Market Performer     Junk
Blue Chip                  5                      3                          2
Market Performer     10                     5                          3
Junk                         15                     10                        5
This week's matchups are:

-NYU.tv Bowl
(1) TakingTigerMountain (5 bb) vs (3) SanFranciscoFerries (5 bb)
Two highest scoring teams battle each other in arguably the best game of this young season.  Ferries face top-ranked teams in two consecutive weeks to open the season while trying to extend their record-setting 10-game regular-season winning streak.  TigerMountain showed in week 1 they mean business in 2014.  Winner of this match will take the reign of the early part of the season.

-Broadway-Myrtle Bowl prezented by Popeyes
(2) PhatGirlz (5 bb) vs (4) Trichotillomaniacs (5 bb)
The third and forth best scorers of week 1 face each other in this week of death.  Defending champs Trichs look to avoid falling 0-2, but Monique's entourage is ready to stand till last hair's pulled.  Both teams have running backs with "minor" knee problems, Tate and Martin respectively, and their health could determine the outcome of this catfight.

-Peach Bowl
(5) Polk High Panthers (3 bb) vs (9) Homoerasmus James (10 bb)
Babies bring luck and rookies learn their lessons.  Such is life.  The Battle of Atlanta will also feature Bundy's side's AJ Green and James' Knowshown Moreno, two former Bulldogs fittingly.  Charles' lack of production is concerning for Bundy coming off a solid upset-win, and if the rook can get the titration right, there's room to capture for his own upset.

-Sunset Twilight Bowl
(6) ThePelicanBrief (5 bb) vs (8) BuildingDW3LL1NGTh1nk1ng (5 bb)
Another well-matched game in the second week feature two franchises that look to suck each others' bones and climb into the upper echelon of PSAS 2014.   Both teams feature keeper-franchise QBs that struggled in week 1.  Could it be the beginning of end for either Brady or Romo?  Both teams hope not.

-Kuzmanovich Bowl
(7) AEthernauts (3 bb) vs (11-t) Shock_Pick (10 bb)
This week it's Nauts in the way of Shock trying to snap the record-setting losing streak.  Nauts held the fort admirably in Cam's absence and taught the rookie a lesson in week 1.  With TE and K titration, Shock roster is full of upside.  I smell something here.

-Flatbush-Atlantic Bowl prezented by Barclays
(10) HomeSpunNeckBloodz (5 bb) vs (11-t) Dijonnaise All-Stars (5 bb)
First of Home-and-Home series between teams that dropped their respective first games of 2014 will be played on the Atlantic side.  The hosting Spinnerz look for a spark out of the offense that was lackluster in the opening week.  Colonel Mustard will likely go with two-TE set again with Vernon and Olsen leading the team in points scored in week 1.
