Week 7 Power Rankings

General Far East disembowels BDT on Sunday Week 6
Week 6 out of 13 provides a plausible preview of the final week scenario.  With 4 teams 2 games over .500 and five teams at .500, nine teams could be in play for playoff/seeding.  If 7 wins is the bar then points are going to be choosing among several (perhaps four?) teams.  So whip 'em out and start measuring boys.  The Median score for this week is 109.9.

1.  (3) Pelican Brief - (4-2) - The Legal Thrillers grab the Bolt with a third straight bye week win and top the PRs this week.  Usually that means among other things that you haven't seen too many key players on bye yet.  But the Brief has made the most of it as they got a tee shot toward the playoffs with a game for Stylez points this week.

2. (1)  Polk High Panther(5-1)   - The Panthers couldn't handle their missing ATLiens and dropped their first contest of the year.  Calvin got in the game but was hardly himself, meaning there wasn't much on the table for the Bundys this week.  A bigger question is how the loss of Jones and White will affect the Ryan/Gonzales duo in weeks to come.

3. (7)  Dijonaise All Stars  (4-2)  - The Mustard Men got a handy double vulture day from Tolbert and sqeaked by the injured Tigers.  A-Rodg continues to struggle to create big days with ever fewer weapons.  That means that Foster may have to find the endzone, even if he does ride a 20 points as a teasing stallion.

4. (2) TakingTigerMountain (4-2) - the Mountain dropped a second straight under 10 points differential in a lowball. Last week Jimmy Graham didn't score a TD, this week he didn't score a point and was injured.  But, if you were going to schedule an injury, do it before a bye week.  The loss creates some pressure to steal this week's match up from the Panthers even with Brees & co. on the sidelines.

5. (6) Tusken Raiders (4-2)
- The Raiders railed off a second straight win and hold the fifth highest total score. Jamaal Charles is the number one scoring RB 7 TDs and 775 yards all around. He's had a massive workload and it's paying off so far.  Likewise D-Jax is the top scoring receiver.  Those two are floating RGIII.  They're not bulletproof, but the Sand People have it working.

T. 6 (T. 8) Phat Girlz (3-3)  - The Girlz knocked out a nice win this week over the Mighty Panthers.  Stafford carried (or perhaps threw) the water with four passing TDs. Shorts was knocked out of the game, which kept the Girlz from beast here. If he misses time the Girlz will be thin at wideout.

T. 6. (2) BuildingDwellingThinking  (3-3) A week after the premium Romo fueled win over the commish BDT's options tanked on news that Romo doesn't need to throw five TDs to win in the NFC East. The German Philosophers were held TD less in position players and led in points by an IDP. One of those weeks.

8. (11) Trichs  (3-3) - how bout them Hair Pullers?  Back to .500 after two straight wins the Far East brigade has discovered gunpowder (and not just for fireworks!).  The Trichs golden wire boy Allen ate up all the fantasy points Monday night. Keeper-nick's rhythm with Vernon Davis is improving which is good news for the SF titration here.

T 9. (5) Grossman Sachs (2-4) - The g0dbank defaulted again as Minnesota's D was a negative number and failed to let AP work out some pathos on the field. Blackmon and Bernard had nice games.  Run DMC looked healthy on the bench.  There's still the best stable of talent here, it's just  a question of if they'll all run together.

T. 9. (10) Aethernauts (3-3) -  The Nauts blasted the Bloods out of the sky and balanced their record at .500.  Hold and cold are the currents that high up - Newton, Lynch and KC's DEF combined for 85.9 of their 135.03.  Colston struggled despite Graham's absence and Murray sprained his knee, leaving a couple of big question marks on Big Sky's ledger sheet.

11. (T. 8) Homespun Neckbloodz  (3-3) - The Cyclotron  project is evidently lacking it's federal funding because they've lost three straight.  Culter and VJax had marquee performances. But otherwise there was a lot of lowballing. There are so many moving parts to the Cyclotron, entropy is evidently taking its toll.

12. (13) SanFranciscoFerries (2-4)  - Don't tell the Ferries it's over. The Boatmen got their second straight upset victory and may have saved their season in the process. Moreno made the endzone three times from the flex and sucked some of the air out of Peyton's day.  Wither Gronk?  Who cares as long as they're winning.

13. (12)  Goslings (2-4) - It was a poor time for Luck's worst game of the season, as the Goslings needed a Big Luck/Wayne double to pick up a MNF comeback.  Do the other injuries to GB's pass game help or hurt Nelson?  Shady McCoy continues to be the blue chip here, but he's not going to buy the pot every time around.

14. (14)  PrimordialLifestyles (0-6) Dallas Clark was the only double digit here. Schaub at least still has a starting job if he's healthy. T-Rich isn't up to speed in Indy.  They'll be underdogs until they pull off an upset.
